Aesop's Sound Fables is available to write and/or perform for your film or theater production. Listed here, we have some of the kinds of projects we've worked on in the past. We are the perfect ensemble to bring your experimental or outside the box idea into reality.

Recordings are not available for every project listed here but we encourage you to explore what recordings we do have posted for free here on Bandcamp.

Silent Film Scores

Our group originated by writing scores to full length silent films in the public domain. Our scores are semi-improvised and frequently use text based instructions to guide the improvisations. This results in unique performances at every show as we respond in real-time to the films. Strange Animations

Strange Animations is an animated screening series with original live scores performed by Aesop's Sound Fables. The series features a mix of animated shorts by contemporary filmmakers and classic works in the public domain. Notably, we recently collaborated with a filmmaker and educator in Gaza named Haneen Koraz to feature some of her students' work.

MOON

MOON is an opera in a made-up language written by director Devon Turchan. We wrote the music for the show; turning abstract movements and concepts into broad musical outlines, chord progressions, and melodies. We worked closely with Devon to bring their vision into reality for a performance at OPERA America in midtown Manhattan.
